Essential Qualifications:
M.Sc./M.Tech. FIRST CLASS with 65% marks or above.

Post Nos. 1-10: Selected candidates will be engaged in research involving analysis of remote sensing data for deriving/retrieval of Bio-Physical/Physical parameters like
ocean colour chlorophyll, leaf area index, Normalised difference vegetation index etc. and Physical parameters like Insolation, Albedo, Land surface temperature etc., their validation and use in process models for agriculture (Crop growth simulation model), environment, hydrology, ocean and atmosphere and for planetary studies using Chandrayaan-1 data.

Post No.11 : The selected candidate will be involved in R & D related to optical systems, detectors and related electronics for space borne electro-optical sensors which will involve optical design and analysis, test set up development, focal plane assembly along with design of onboard data processing algorithms and development of ASIC with advanced ADC and processor architecture.

Fellowship amount: (JRF)
Rs.12000/- per month + 20% H.R.A. (for 1st and 2nd year)
Rs.14000/- per month + 20% H.R.A. (subsequent years)

Research Associates:
12 Atmospheric Science/ Oceanography
Fresh Ph.D OR Thesis submitted and viva-voce is due shortly.

13 Physics/Geophysics/Agricultural Physics
Fresh Ph.D. Or M.Sc. FIRST CLASS with 65% marks or above, with 4 years research experience.

14 Crop Physiology/Plant Physiology/ Agrometeorology
Fresh Ph.D. Or M.Sc. FIRST CLASS with 65% marks or above, with 4 years research experience.

Post No. 12: Analysis of satellite data to retrieve geo-physical parameters using radiative transfer theory and studies of atmospheric and oceanographic processes through numerical models and simulations.
Post Nos.13 & 14 : Selected candidates will be required to work in a multidisciplinary team for insitu data collection and analysis of remote sensing data. It will involve deriving/retrieval of Bio-physical/Physical parameters from Remote Sensing data, their validation and use in process based models for agriculture, forestry and environmental applications.

Associateship amount:
Rs.16,000/- per month + 20% H.R.A. - Research Associateship “A”
Rs.17,000/- per month + 20% H.R.A. - Research Associateship “B”
Rs.18,000/- per month + 20% H.R.A. - Research Associateship “C”
Candidates would be awarded one of the above grades of Associateship amount depending on their merit as assessed by the Selection Committee.
